Cleaning Closets

Today the girls and I cleaned their closet. When I say we I really mean just me. Although the girls do a great job of taking everything out of their closet and strewing them about their room. This is quite a challenge but I found a new/old toy in their closet that they had not played with yet. It was a tea set and let me tell you they loved it. Although it came with spoons and yes my child Emma tried to choke herself with them. UGH! Why do we still put everything in our mouths......Happy Thursday y'all.

Flu shot

So yesterday I stopped by my local Solantic for an annual flu shot. Do you know it took me longer to be official admitted then it took for me to get the shot and pay. SO crazy. AND the nurse did a super sucky job. Not only did it hurt like crazy she also put the band-aid on the wrong spot and had to pull it off and restick it. Can I say ouch! PLUS my arm still hurts more then 24 hours later. Someone needs a refresher course at nursing school. HA!

Fun idea

Stolen from Belinda's blog http://bindianny.livejournal.com/

*Grab the nearest book.
* Open the book to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
* Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.

"Again the government, whether it fully realized it or not, set about pursuing peace and war at once."

From Crazy Horse, written by Larry McMurtry

19 Months

Today my twins are 19 months old. I can't believe how time has flown. They no longer look like babies, but are really looking like little toddler girls. They have unique personalities and lots of independence. Sometimes this is a good thing and sometimes it is not a good thing. Independence often comes with a price. I miss my total independence and know someday probably too soon it will come back again. Until then call me stuck at home and hoping we win the lottery. Happy Wednesday!

PBS left me with questions.

Have you ever found yourself watching a kids program long after your kids left the room. Yeah it seems to happen to me all the time. Funny thing is, I tend to continue watching so I can find out what happens. Does this mean I am still childlike? Who knows.

TGIF

Friday is finally here. The girls & I are well on the mend. Emma & Sarah had their 18 month check-up yesterday and they were both well enough to get their last DTP and this years Flu shots. SO, now they will not need any more shots until they are four, except of course for their annual Flu shot. THAT is so great. Without having health insurance paying for the shots has been very expensive, but now all we will have to pay for will be check-up visits and sick visits (if we get sick). I am so happy....I am doing the happy dance, you just can't see me. Have a great weekend everyone.

Monday Blues

Today is Monday and just when I was feeling better, I got sick again. YUCK! Good news is my birthday was Saturday and I was better then. My parents took the girls for the day so Michael and I went shopping at the Towne Center and then we had lunch at Maggiano's. It was really good and we had a great time. But late last night my throat got scratchy again. SO that means the girls will not be going to their 18 month check-up. Because if I am still sick that means so are they and no shots. This is good and bad. I hate the shots part for them because they cry really hard which makes me cry. This is bad because I have to reschedule again. Happy Monday!
