Double Blessings
It is 10:30pm on Christmas Eve and Santa has just finished delivering his gifts to our house. You should see all the bounty these little angel elves are getting. Many baby dolls and many doll accessories. That Santa sure knows his stuff. Well....Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Cold toes
Today it is finally cold outside. The last 2 weeks have been hot. 70 at least on most days. Today finally it is cold, about 50, not as cold as some places but finally if feels like December. So the girls and I have cold toes...and cold fingers....YEAH! But I hear it will be hot on Christmas...that sucks. I hate a hot Christmas.

Happy Holidays
It has been a while since I posted, sorry, the holidays are going by so fast that I can't seem to keep up. But this past weekend Michael and I took the girls to a Christmas party that the twins group we belong to hosted. Santa was there but the girls would have none of him. SO, here is a cute picture of Michael and the girls. Hope everyone has a great holiday and keeps their family close. We love you all!

Thanksgiving
This year I am so thankful for so many wonderful things. Family, who knew my life would provide me with an instant family when I married but then twins to boot. Friends, souls whom I am so close to I would call us sisters. Shelter & food, thank you Lord for all that you provide even when I forget to be thankful. TO all my family, blessings to you and then some.

Cutie Pies
Today I spent the afternoon with my 4 of my best girlfriends. We were visiting Karen and her 2 cute new twin baby girls. They are so dang cute and smelled so sweet. I miss the tiny baby age. They look great and all are doing well. Karen and Joe you are doing awesome as new parents. It will be nice when we can get together more often. Since it has been so long since we have gotten together here is a more recent photo of my girls. This is our first trip to the pumpkin patch. Sarah is on the left with Emma on the right. Of course getting them to look directly at mommy never ever happens. Happy Thanksgiving all!

Enough Already
The girls & I have been sick for well over a week now. I think we just keep passing it back and forth. Even Grandpa caught this nasty cold. Sarah & I are doing this horrible cough and we sound like seals. Emma seems to have the least of the cold. I am the worst with Sarah in second place. I just want cold & flu season to be over. But since they are toddlers we are bound to catch every new bug out there. It has something to do with building their immunity but I have had enough already. This is like our 3rd or 4th cold since September. It is never anything really awful just enough to make you feel yucky and tired. OF COURSE I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. But when does God ever listen to me. HAHAHAHA!

All Over
After reading my girls blogs (Belinda & Karen), I too am glad that this Election is over and finally decided. I second Karen's statement that I love to vote and have taken every chance to vote since signing up for my card as a senior in high school. Belinda I am proud of you for voting this year and helping make history. Now let's see what Obama can do.

Traveling Girls
It's been a few weeks since I lasted posted. We have been a busy group. While my in-laws were here we traveled to Orlando to go to Seaworld. They brought tickets for the whole family so we took the opportunity to take the girls. They had a great time, but Michael & I were totally exhausted and frustrated with each other by the end of the day. And of course my daughters had a huge meltdown on the way home. BUT, despite the challenges they did have fun and we got them on video and lots of pictures...so one day we can show them their first big theme park trip. Also the girls have joined their first official play group and surprisingly they did not cling to mommy but played and played and played. I am so relieved. Last night we passed out Halloween candy to all our trick or treators and boy did we have some fun. Anyway happy November 1st to everyone...Turkey is next...yum, yum.

Family Ties
This past week my in-laws have been in town visiting. No one really understands the work involved in hosting your family, especially one that is still new to you and is very different then your own. I want to feel like a family member but somehow I still feel like an outsider. Kinda weird. But the girls have adjusted to their relatives very quickly and laugh it up and play and play. Oh to be so innocent and not jaded. Happy Week all....

Cleaning Closets
Today the girls and I cleaned their closet. When I say we I really mean just me. Although the girls do a great job of taking everything out of their closet and strewing them about their room. This is quite a challenge but I found a new/old toy in their closet that they had not played with yet. It was a tea set and let me tell you they loved it. Although it came with spoons and yes my child Emma tried to choke herself with them. UGH! Why do we still put everything in our mouths......Happy Thursday y'all.

Flu shot
So yesterday I stopped by my local Solantic for an annual flu shot. Do you know it took me longer to be official admitted then it took for me to get the shot and pay. SO crazy. AND the nurse did a super sucky job. Not only did it hurt like crazy she also put the band-aid on the wrong spot and had to pull it off and restick it. Can I say ouch! PLUS my arm still hurts more then 24 hours later. Someone needs a refresher course at nursing school. HA!

Fun idea
Stolen from Belinda's blog http://bindianny.livejournal.com/
*Grab the nearest book.
* Open the book to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
* Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.

19 Months
Today my twins are 19 months old. I can't believe how time has flown. They no longer look like babies, but are really looking like little toddler girls. They have unique personalities and lots of independence. Sometimes this is a good thing and sometimes it is not a good thing. Independence often comes with a price. I miss my total independence and know someday probably too soon it will come back again. Until then call me stuck at home and hoping we win the lottery. Happy Wednesday!

TGIF
Friday is finally here. The girls & I are well on the mend. Emma & Sarah had their 18 month check-up yesterday and they were both well enough to get their last DTP and this years Flu shots. SO, now they will not need any more shots until they are four, except of course for their annual Flu shot. THAT is so great. Without having health insurance paying for the shots has been very expensive, but now all we will have to pay for will be check-up visits and sick visits (if we get sick). I am so happy....I am doing the happy dance, you just can't see me. Have a great weekend everyone.

Monday Blues
Today is Monday and just when I was feeling better, I got sick again. YUCK! Good news is my birthday was Saturday and I was better then. My parents took the girls for the day so Michael and I went shopping at the Towne Center and then we had lunch at Maggiano's. It was really good and we had a great time. But late last night my throat got scratchy again. SO that means the girls will not be going to their 18 month check-up. Because if I am still sick that means so are they and no shots. This is good and bad. I hate the shots part for them because they cry really hard which makes me cry. This is bad because I have to reschedule again. Happy Monday!

Getting Better

Me too!
Well it is official, I am now sick too. Talk about a letdown. I guess maybe I will be feeling better by Saturday, for my birthday, but maybe not. And my Dad came by yesterday to bring me an iced coffee (what a good daddy), and now he is sick too. We are very contagious. Now I am debatting if we need to go to the doctor. UGH, just what we need another bill. :>

Sickness
So Saturday I took the girls to their first major playdate at a park with the other twins in our twins group. By Sunday Emma was sick and by Monday night Sarah was sick. Another 2 nights with no sleep. UGH, but they did have a lot of fun at the park. Now they will be sick for probably another 2 - 3 days and then by next Saturday, Sept. 13th I will probably be sick. Just in time for my 37th birthday. OH BOY!

Sleep walking
I miss sleep. I took the girls on vacation over 3 weeks ago and although they adjusted well and slept in port-a-cribs while out of town, it seems since we got back they can't sleep in their own cribs anymore. So, at first I let them fall asleep with me and then I would move them back to their cribs. Then I decided to stay in their room with them until they fell asleep and then later if they woke up at say 3am I moved them into bed with me. THEN it turned into both of them in my bed by midnight. Well 2 nights ago I said no more....now they are going to sleep in their own cribs and staying there until morning, but they are still waking up by 4am and basically staying awake until 7am.....AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....does anyone have any ideas.

Mommy, mommy, mommy
Today my girls are very clingy. It makes doing any little thing out of their eyesight so awful. I hope they outgrow this separation anxiety soon. Although it is kinda nice to be so wanted and needed. Happy Wednesday!

Imagination
Today my girls are learning how to imaginary play. They are feeding their babies cherrios and wearing towels on their heads. Very funny. I remeber having an imagination, I think it left me the day I gave birth. HA!

Life as I see it today
As it seems all of my friends have blogs I thought why not join them. So here is my beginning... I thought it would be fun to have my blog just be about how I see life in general and how I see it through the eyes of my 17 month old twin girls....expect more from me later.
